The Command Centre is your starting point at the beginning of every shift. It gives you a live view of your entire facility on a single screen — showing which beds are occupied, which alerts need attention, and how each ward is performing right now.

What the Command Centre shows

When you open the Command Centre, you see four main panels:

Active alerts

A live list of current alerts grouped by severity. Each row shows the alert type, location, and how long ago it was triggered.

Bed occupancy

A count of beds that are occupied, available, or in another state across your whole facility.

Ward breakdown

A zone selector at the bottom of the screen showing occupancy and alert counts for each ward or zone. Includes a five-day history bar chart per zone.

Recent activity

A timeline of recent patient movements and sensor events, listed in reverse chronological order.
The Command Centre also shows four quick-glance statistics at a glance: patient flow per hour, average wait time, ED occupancy, and OR utilisation. These mini stats update continuously without any page reload.
Check the Command Centre as soon as you start your shift to get an immediate picture of the facility’s status before you walk the floor.

Alert severity colour coding

Every alert on the Command Centre is colour-coded so you can assess urgency at a glance.
ColourSeverityWhen to use
RedCriticalRequires immediate action — for example, a fall detected or a Code Blue
AmberWarningRequires attention soon — for example, an IV running empty or a patient out of bed
CyanInfoInformational only — no action required
Critical alerts also appear highlighted with a red background in the alerts panel so they stand out even when the list is long. You can drill down from the Command Centre directly to any ward or bed without going through the sidebar.
1

Select a zone

In the zone strip at the bottom of the screen, click the tile for the ward or zone you want to inspect. The left-side panels update to show stats for that zone only.
2

Click an alert

In the Attention needed panel, click any alert row to navigate directly to the bed or room where the alert originated.
3

Use the sidebar

You can also navigate to the full Wards or Alerts pages at any time using the sidebar navigation on the left.

Collapsing and expanding panels

The Command Centre has two collapsible sections to give you more space when you need it.
  • Click the arrow button on the left edge to hide or show the left column of panels (alerts, stats, flow summary).
  • Click the arrow button above the zone strip to hide or show the zone selector at the bottom.
This is useful on smaller screens or when you want an unobstructed view of the facility background map.

Real-time updates

The Command Centre updates automatically. Every alert, occupancy change, and patient movement appears on screen as it happens — you do not need to refresh the page or take any action to see the latest data.
The Command Centre only displays data once sensors and devices are connected and active in your facility. If you see a message that no data is available, contact your system administrator to verify that devices have been configured for your organisation.
